Dalton Rosta talks Bellator 283 win over Romero Cotton and what’s next

Dalton Rosta had his eye on Romero Cotton for a while and when he finally got his hand on him, he made the most of it.

Prior to their meeting at Bellator 283, the two middleweight contenders were booked scheduled t fight on four occasions. After the first three never happened, Rosta said he was done with Cotton, only to have the promotion book a fourth fight scheduled with the two.

In the lead up to the fight, Rosta spoke with MyMMANews in an interview in which he expressed his confidence in winning the match.

Then a few weeks later the two finally fought and Rosta did everything he said he would,

In the opening round of the fight, Cotton would shoot for takedowns as expected, but Rosta would stuff every single one and land a number of big punches on way to securing the first round.

Then in the second round, it was all Rosta as he now only continued to stuff takedowns, but he also dished out a lot of punishment and entered the final round with a clear-cut win 2-0 advantage on the judges’ scorecards.

Finally, in the last round of the fight, Rosta only needed a few seconds to win the fight as he landed a big superman punch and then followed it up with a big hook that ended the fight very quickly into the third round.

The win marked the biggest of Rosta’s career and now he’s ready to become a major contender within Bellator’s middleweight division.

Following his win over Cotton, Rosta once again spoke with MyMMANews and this time he broke down his win over Cotton, discussed what he wants next, and he showed his love for Pittsburgh by talking about the upcoming Steelers season.
