Dan Henderson vs. Tim Boetsch set for UFC Fight Night, June 6
Dan Henderson vs. Tim Boetsch set for UFC Fight Night, June 6
Albeit losing five of his last six fights (with two of his last three via TKO), Dan Henderson is still considered a legend of mixed martial arts with something left to prove. On June 6th at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, Henderson (30-13) will look to avoid a third straight loss when he locks horns with Tim “The Barbarian” Boetsch (18-8, #14 ranked middleweight).
Boetsch has also struggled as of late, losing four of his last six fights, including a recent technical submission loss to Thales Leites back in UFC 183 in January. The possibility of the loser in this match being released by the UFC is not far fetched, and with both fighters on the higher end of their age (Henderson 44, Boetsch 34), the fighters may be nearing the end of their careers.
This card will also feature a main event light heavyweight clash between wrestling studs Daniel Cormier and Ryan Bader in a fight with top contender implications. Matt Mitrione has also finally landed an opponent when he meets Ben Rothwell in a heavyweight clash. Also confirmed is Joe Proctor facing Justin Edwards in a lightweight showdown.
These are the four fights currently set for this card. We will keep you updated as this card continues to develop.
