Dana White and Floyd Mayweather

Dana White confirms he is doing ‘something fun’ with Floyd Mayweather

Dana White said he and Floyd Mayweather do have a deal in place.

White and Mayweather were seen at the Los Angeles Clippers-Boston Celtics game. Yet, the UFC boss says it was pure luck they were sitting next to each other. So, they realized this was meant to be. So, he and the undefeated boxer started talking and got a deal done right there.

“It’s true,” White said Thursday on The Jim Rome Show (via MMA Junkie).” “We sat at the Clippers game. We started talking and we literally got a deal done right there on the court, we shook hands. We have a deal. And if things play out the way Floyd and I think they will, I’ll probably sit down with Al Haymon in March and get a deal on paper.”

For what the possible deal would be is up in the air. Mayweather has hinted at MMA. But, with the upcoming launch of Zuffa boxing he could headline the first show and put Zuffa boxing on the map.

“Let’s see how the next few months play out,” White said. “We could be doing something fun probably. I think if everything goes our way, Floyd and I would be doing something in October or November.”

Floyd Mayweather has not fought professionally since he and Dana White last worked together to get Mayweather-Conor McGregor super fight done. Before that, he beat Andre Berto and Manny Pacquiao as the American is currently 50-0 as a pro.

He then had an exhibition bout last year in RIZIN where he knocked out Tensin Nasukawa in the first round in a dominating performance.

What Mayweather and White are possibly working on is unknown. But, White makes it clear a deal is in place so it is only a matter of time before it is revealed.
