Dana White reveals he and his entire family tested positive for COVID-19, recovering well
UFC President Dana White has been struck by the COVID-19 virus due to a Thanksgiving holiday trip back home to Maine. On Wednesday afternoon, sports radio host Jim Rome had White on his podcast where he revealed that he and his entire family have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The UFC boss would go on to tell Jim Rome that he is fully vaccinated and while he is currently in isolation, he is taking advice from UFC commentator Joe Rogan. Rogan, who also was infected by COVID-19, came under public scrutiny for his use of ivermectin, which some doctors have been against using to fight COVID-19.
Detailing his experience with COVID, Dana White said that he experienced the loss of smell and that’s when he decided to make a call to Rogan for treatment advice.
“On Sunday, I cold plunge and steam every day. So I get out of the cold plunge and steam, and I spray the eucalyptus and I was like ‘What the hell?’ I couldn’t smell anything. So I opened the bottle and start sniffing the bottle of eucalyptus and I couldn’t smell and I was like ‘I know what this means.’ I literally got out of the steam and got on my phone and called Joe Rogan. Once he spoke to Rogan, Dana White detailed the advice he was given and the treatments he took in order to get healthy, which included ivermectin.
“He said get monoclonal antibodies in you as soon as possible, so I did By noon, I had the monoclonal antibodies in me. Then he told me to do a NAP drip. I did that right after. The next day, so Sunday at 8’o clockat night I have no taste or smell. I get up Tuesday getting ready to shave, cleaning my razor, I could smell the alcohol. My taste and smell were back by the next day by 11 o’clock. Then I took a dose of ivermectin, then yesterday I did a vitamin drip, and today I’m doing another NAD drip.”
After taking Rogan’s advice, Dana White says he is feeling much better than when initially diagnosed, and his senses came back in less than 24 hours.
“Never felt better. I’m feeling loke a million bucks. I’m doing a two-a-day workouts for the next 10 days while I have COVID and I’m in quarantine. I got my smell and taste back in less than 24 hours.”
The good news is Dana White seems to be recovering well from his bout with COVID-19, he marks three of the most recognizable names that work for the UFC to test positive, including Rogan and Octagon announcer, Bruce Buffer. The status of White’s availability at UFC 269 next weekend is up in the air.
