Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 6, Week 10 Results
Dana White’s Contender Series will wrap up its sixth season tonight in what will be a highly watched event by fight fans all around the world.
The reason why the event is being looked at so closely is because of one of the men in the main event.
Former Penn State wrestling standout Bo Nickal is back for the second time this after he won on the show in episode three. In that fight Nickal defeated Zachary Borrego in 62 seconds and despite looking amazing, UFC president wanted to see Nickal fight again since he is only 2-0 as pro.
If Nickal wants a UFC contract tonight, he’ll have to get through Donovan Beard, who comes into the fight eight professional fights in less than two years.
Beard, 32, is currently 7-1 and in his last fight, he won the vacant CFFC middleweight title with a fourth-round submission win over Miles Lee in July.
Aside from the middleweight main event, the card is stacked for the season finale.
In the co-main event, 26-years-old lightweights Sam Patterson and Vinicius Cenci will share the octagon.
Patterson carries a nine-fight unbeaten streak into the fight which includes five straight wins the under the Brave CF banner.
Cenci will have his fight in almost three years, but despite being inactive in the last few years, he has been impressive inside of the cage with 6-1 record.
Another fight to keep an eye on is Jack Jenkins and Freddy Emiliano.
Jenkins is the reigning Eternal MMA featherweight champion and is one the top prospects in all of Australia.
Linares is 8-1 and is bringing a four-fight winning streak into the fight. He is known for his aggressive style as he has only gone the distance once in his career and hasn’t seen the third round otherwise.
Tonight’s fights will take place from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and can be streamed on ESPN+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
