Daniel Cormier explains why Nate Diaz will defeat Jake Paul in MMA rematch

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier explained why Nate Diaz will defeat Jake Paul in their expected MMA rematch.

Paul defeated Diaz via unanimous decision in their boxing match last weekend. While the fight was competitive at times, for the most part, it was Paul in control and landing the heavier, more damaging blows on his older opponent. Now that they’ve had their boxing match, an MMA fight is expected to come next, and if that’s the case, then at least one person believes that Diaz will get his hand raised.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Cormier spoke about a potential Paul vs. Diaz fight in mixed martial arts, and he explained why he believes the Stockton native will be able to defeat the YouTuber in MMA.

“Nate will submit him. If they fight, Nate will submit him. I’ll take less confidence in Jake Paul fighting Nate in MMA because of last weekend. Jake’s best chance of dominating Nate Diaz was in boxing, and he didn’t. While he did win the fight convincingly, he didn’t put him out like many people thought he would – and that’s different,” Cormier said (via MMAjunkie.com).

“Jake Paul, for me, did a good job – but still shows that there’s a lot of work to be done. What I will say about Jake Paul: He’s better than people try to give him credit for and he’s a lot tougher than people try to give him credit for, because one of the areas I thought he would struggle was when it got hard, he would kind of fold up and go back to making videos or doing something different. But he doesn’t pack it in – he fights through the tough times.”

Do you agree with Daniel Cormier that Nate Diaz will defeat Jake Paul in their MMA rematch?
