Darren Till says Israel Adesanya fight is ‘a long way off’ but knows when it happens he wins

Darren Till and Israel Adesanya have always gone back and forth trash-talking one another as both spoken about their desire to fight one another.

Adesanya is the current middleweight champ and has said he wants to face Till as he believes it would be a fun fight and a fight many fans would want to see. However, the Brit lost fights to Robert Whittaker, and in his last fight, Derek Brunson submitted him. With that, Till says he knows he is far off from the title fight but believes when it happens he will beat Adesanya.

“Yeah, I feel like Adesanya’s a long way off. I feel like I just got to get a few wins under my belt and prove how good I am to the people again. Obviously, as soon as I get that title fight and win, I know I can beat Adesanya. The sky’s the limit then. The possibilities are endless,” Till said to Submission Radio. “And I’ve just got to work hard and stay humble and do the right things and have a good supportive group around me, which I’ve got now, you know, especially with my newfound venture in Block Asset and these guys. These guys are going to great lengths to look after me in a special way, and it’s humbling for me. I’m a humble man, and it’s humbling when people really want to take care of your well being.”

Currently, Darren Till does not have his next fight booked as he has been rehabbing the torn ACL he suffered before his last fight. The hope for Till is he returns this summer against Uriah Hall and should he win, it’s likely he will only need one more win to get the shot against Adesanya as the champ has been vocal about his desire to face Till.
