Ya think Gina is gonna kick Ryan Reynolds’ ass in Deadpool next year?

A trailer for the upcoming film, Deadpool, has surfaced and it features former mixed martial arts sensation turned actress, Gina Carano. We’ve got the official Red Band version of the trailer below. Make sure your kids or your boss aren’t looking over your shoulder…

Deadpool Trailer #1 (Red Band Version): Starring Gina Carano

Carano plays “Angel Dust,” a mutant gifted with superhuman strength.

The synopsis for “Deadpool” reveals a little bit more about Gina’s character, plus the story itself…

[quote] “tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.”

Deadpool is directed by visual effects veteran Tim Miller, making his feature directing debut, with a script from Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Ryan Reynolds reprises the titular character he originated in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary known for his or his sarcastic, talkative nature and his tendency to break the fourth wall.

So Gina Carano Is An Actress Now?

Indeed, and if you hadn’t noticed, this isn’t her first time in front of the camera. Carano, a former MMA star, broke into movies with 2011’s “Haywire” and 2013’s “Fast and Furious 6.” She recently wrapped production on “Bus 657″ and the “Kickboxer” reboot.

Deadpool is set to be released February 2016.
