Demetrious Johnson vs Ray Borg rebooked

The UFC flyweight title fight that was supposed to take place at last weekend’s UFC 215 pay-per-view has been rebooked for next month’s UFC 216 fight card.

The Oct. 7 fight card in Las Vegas will pick up Demetrious Johnson vs. Ray Borg. Borg pulled out two days prior to the pay-per-view citing an illness and not a weight cutting issue. Johnson who was on a mission to make UFC history as he sought to pass Anderson Silva’s title defense record did not compete as a result.

UFC 216 is headlined by a UFC lightweight interim title fight between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee.

Derrick Lewis vs. Fabricio Werdum
