Deontay Wilder: “People always tell me, ‘When you gonna fight Joshua?’”
Coming into his fight with Robert Helenius this weekend, Deontay Wilder is back in full form. In an interview with Kate Abdo, Wilder said that he feels it’s only a matter of time before he finally steps in the ring with Anthony Joshua.

Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua: Better late than never?
As mentioned, Wilder still believes that he will step into the ring with long-time rival Anthony Joshua. In an interview with Abdo, Wilder told what he believes will happen.

Wilder and Joshua were longtime rivals as the two were at the top of boxing’s heavyweight division and were circling each other for a while before Wilder dropped his fights to Fury. Joshua then lost to Andy Ruiz and twice to Oleksandr Usyk, complicating things even further. But now, Wilder sees himself and Joshua back on a collision course once again.
Wilder, who is making his return after facing and losing to Tyson Fury in back-to-back fights, contemplated retirement. But after taking a year off, Wilder decided to bless fans with the opportunity at another iconic Wilder knockout.
He has to prove to himself, not his critics or anyone else, that he is still one of the most fearsome people on the planet. This is the point in his career where Deontay Wilder can prove that he’s one of the greats or one of the many that reached the top then fell to the wayside, not ascending to the top of boxing again.
