Derek Anderson Bellator 251 Post-Fight Interview

Bellator 251 takes place Thursday, Nov. 5 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The main card airs on CBS Sports Network after prelims streamed on live on Bellator’s youtube channel. They will return with its latest offering on Thursday night when Melvin Manhoef takes on Corey Anderson in the main event of Bellator 251.
A welterweight feature bout will take place as the first fight on the main card between Derek Anderson (16-3, 1 NC) and Killys Mota (12-1).
Anderson, was scheduled to headline Bellator 241 in October. However, his opponent, Paul Daley, was forced out of the fight one day prior to the event because of his weight cut. “The Barbaric” has only been finished once as a professional MMA fighter, a second-round submission to Marcin Held in 2014. Anderson is part of the Bellator roster since 2013, defeating the likes of Patricky Freire (twice) and Saad Awad before moving up to welterweight in 2019.
Mota, will look to make his second promotional appearance after a successful Bellator debut in October 2019. Taking on Tristar Gym fighter Mandel Nallo, Mota won via leg kicks in Round 3. The Brazilian built his 12-1 MMA record as a lightweight, with his only defeat coming in a LFA title bout in 2018.
