Dione Barbosa discusses her upcoming fight at LFA 152
Dione Barbosa made one thing clear following her last fight. She wanted to be extremely active in 2023.
As the new year rolled in, Barbosa wasted no time getting a fight booked as she will be taking on Jessica Middleton this weekend at LFA 152.
The fight comes just two months after her last fight in which Barbosa picked up a unanimous decision win over Mariana Piccolo at LFA 148.
As soon as that fight ended, Barbosa was right back in the gym training at Kings MMA alongside Bellator featherweight champion Cris Cyborg.
Every day Barbosa goes to practice and continues to grow in mixed martial arts and she feels like things are starting to come together in her young MMA career.
The growth she’s been showing in game as come at the right time as her LFA 152 opponent will be Barbosa’s toughest test to date.
Barbosa comes into the fight with just six pro fights under belt, meanwhile Middleton as 11 fights and has faced a lot of high level competition as throughout her career she’s fought big names in women’s MMA like Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Emily Ducote, Joselyne Edwards and Hailey Cowan.
Barbosa knows experience is on Middleton’s side and she’s fully embracing the challenge as she believes the best way to improve is to share the cage with experienced high level competition.
