Drakkar Klose forced out of UFC Vegas 63 grudge match against Mark Madsen
Drakkar Klose will no longer be fighting in two weeks.
Klose was set to return to the Octagon on October 29 at UFC Vegas 63 against Mark Madsen in a highly-anticipated lightweight bout. It was a fight years in the making as the two used to train one another and Klose had a falling out with the coach and the gym and targeted a fight against Madsen because of that.
After calling Madsen out several times, the UFC finally booked the fight at UFC Vegas 63, yet, according to MMAJunkie, Klose has suffered a torn ACL in training and has been forced out of the scrap. MyMMANews has also confirmed the injury and that the fight is off.
Drakkar Klose (13-2-1) extended his win streak to two last time out as he beat Rafa Garcia by decision back in July after scoring a KO win over Brandon Jenkins in April. The fight against Jenkins marked his first fight in two years as before that, he hadn’t fought since March of 2020 when he was knocked out by Beneil Dariush. Klose has been in the UFC since 7-2 with notable wins over Bobby Green, Lando Vannata, Marc Diakese, and Christos Giagos among others.
Mark Madsen (12-0) picked up a decision win over Vinc Pichel at UFC 273 to extend his UFC win streak to four. The Olympic silver medalist has been in the UFC since 2019 and he has wins over Clay Guida, Austin Hubbard, and Danilo Belluardo.
