Drew Dober calls out Michael Chandler: “I’m ready for the violence”
UFC lightweight Drew Dober called out top-ranked contender Michael Chandler, saying ghat “I’m ready for the violence.”
Dober is coming off of a great knockout win over Bobby Green in a “Fight of the Night” performance. He has won his last three fights in a row by knockout over Green, Rafael Alves, and Terrance McKinney, and he recently was re-inserted back into the UFC top-15 lightweight rankings. Now, he’s setting his sights on one of the best fighters in the entire division.
Taking to his social media, Dober posted a photo of himself and Chandler, saying that he wants to fight him and that he believes it would be a violent fight. Dober also mentioned Conor McGregor, indicating that’s a fight he wants too, though McGregor is currently on the sidelines.
I love competing against guys I respect and I've been a fan of his for years. If Conor refuses I'm ready for the violence pic.twitter.com/4mkxihiCyV

Dober has been in the UFC for nearly a decade now and he has been one of the most exciting fighters in the sport over the years. While he started off his UFC career with a number of losses he would like to have back, in the last few years he has become one of the top knockouts artists at 155lbs. He’s not a title contender just yet, but if he beats someone like Chandler, he would be.
Chandler, of course, is coming off of a submission loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 282 back in November in what was a “Fight of the Night” performance. Although he lost the fight, it was still a solid performance by Chandler, as he showed once again that he’s a warrior inside the Octagon.
