DWTNCS Season 2, Week 4 Results – Bevon Lewis, Jordan Espinosa earn UFC contracts
Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series sent two more fighters into the UFC in week 4 of the event’s second season. LFA featherweight champion Kevin Aguilar headlined the event, defeating Joey Gomez by way of split decision but did not do enough for White to sign him to the UFC on the spot.
Returning for a second appearance on the Contender Series, Bevon Lewis impressed last season with a second-round TKO victory over Elias Urbina, but was told to get a few more fights under his belt. In his second opportunity at a contract Lewis defeated highly touted Alton Cunningham by technical knockout in the very first round. With the impressive finish Lewis earned a place on the UFC roster.
Jordan Espinosa pulled out an incredible third round TKO victory over Hawaii native Riley Dutro to claim the second contract the UFC boss would hand out Tuesday night. Espinosa finished the fight with just two seconds left on the fight clock.
