On the former WBO Champion’s Instagram page (@chris_algieri) you’ll find him posting numerous photos of meal prepping, plates of delicious healthy food, and even a photo of his shopping cart. It’s obvious the dedication and time Algieri spends on fueling his body properly.

On Bellmore Kickboxing fighter’s website, ChrisAlgieri.com, he has a blog titled “The Ultimate Guy’s Guide to Grocery Shopping”. Inside this blog, the former WBO champion does a great job introducing shopping healthy for someone trying to stay fit or become fit. It the article, he shows his sense of humor which takes the plain taste of eating healthy out of your mouth.

“As they say “Abs are made in the kitchen”, and I can say that couldn’t be more true (although I don’t know who the fuck “they” are).” Chris Algieri wrote in his blog.

Changing the habit of purchasing certain items while grocery shopping can sometimes prove to be challenging, but Algieri kindly breaks down everything he purchases. He explains to the reader how to attack the store like a man and get what you need and “Get out”. After he breaks down his strategy of avoiding all the hens and buys what he needs, he informs the reader what they need to buy (organic vs. non-organic; how to select grapefruit).

At the end of the blog, Algieri created two grocery lists. One is meant for weekly shopping and the other is meant to be purchased no more than twice a month.

The St. Anthony’s High School (Huntington, NY) graduate also has a couple of excellent health and diet blog articles on his website as well. Hopefully, he’ll publish more informative articles that will help fellow fighters and fans looking to make a change.
