Ebanie Bridges teases transition to MMA
Australian boxer Ebanie Bridges held the IBF female bantamweight title between 2022 and 2023. As an amateur, Bridges competed in the women’s bantamweight event at the 2016 and 2017 Australasian Golden Gloves, respectively, where she won gold.
She has been nicknamed the ‘Blonde Bomber’ due to her hair color and her coach Arnel “Bomber” Barotillo and holds a pro boxing record of 9-2.
Bridges has taken the sport of boxing by storm with her looks and talent and has even had crossover in the world of MMA as she is good friends with famed UFC star Conor McGregor.
But will she give mixed martial arts a try? In a recent Instagram post Bridges posted the below caption along with a series of old training photos.
“BIG Throwback to when I was clean skinned and use to like kicking, kneeing and elbowing people 😂😂 with Steve @bulldoggym_qld
“I did karate from age of 5, for 8 years and then started kickboxing and Muay Thai in my teens through to my early 20s before bodybuilding took over…
“Should I give MMA a crack.. seems to be a thing… what you think?? 🤔
