Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg shows off MMA skillset

Mark Zuckerberg is an American media magnate, internet entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is known for co-founding the social media website Facebook and its parent company Meta Platforms, of which he is the chairman, chief executive officer, and controlling shareholder.

Zuckerberg recently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience and talked about his new fascination with mixed martial arts, particularly jiu jitsu. He trains with Dave Camarillo of Gorilla Jiu Jitsu, and took up the hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zuckerberg said he’s introduced many of his friends to the sport, and they’ve since start to train and wrestle together.

“There’s just something that’s so primal about it … There’s a certain intensity to it that I like,” he explained. “Maybe there’s this cultural thing where a lot of people haven’t considered it. I’ve had 100 percent hit rate of introducing friends to it and converting them to people who now train. Every single person who I’ve shown it to is like, ‘This is amazing. This is obviously how I should be training and working out.’”

While it would appear that Zuckerbeg, a billionaire and not really having the appearance of an MMA fan, might not truly be into the sport as much as he says he is, Zuck proved everyone wrong on Saturday. Just prior to the start of UFC Paris, the Meta CEO posted a clip that has seemingly received praise from the MMA community

“One of my training partners, Khai Wu, is making his UFC Fight Pass debut tonight. Go get it Khai and looking forward to a great fight!” Zuckerberg wrote along with the below video.
