The film is produced by Sean Menard and filmed in Thailand.
A black belt in karate, Michelle dropped out of college to pursue a career in combat sports after being inspired on a trip to visit family in Thailand. There, while training in the art of Muay Thai, a legendary trainer told her that, with proper dedication, she would one day become a world champion. His prediction proved correct almost ten years later when Michelle became champion for Invicta FC, the first-ever MMA organization made strictly for women. She has since signed a contract to fight in the UFC.
WHERE IS THE KICKSTARTER MONEY IS GOING?
The bulk of the money will be going towards UFC licensed footage and music for the film. Every minute the film shows Michelle fighting inside the cage will cost money. As with any good documentary, the licensed footage and music are vital. Any additional money will be used towards:
- Motion Graphics
- Color Correction
- Sound Design and Audio Mix
The goal is to have the film completed in early 2016.
