Finish of The Year? Check out Martial Arts Chat’s thoughts
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
My favorite time on the podcast really. I get to hear from YOU the fans, as you help us reflect on some of the most amazing moments from 2018.
This year we are running 3 categories.
Fighter of the Year
Finish of the Year
and Who had a Year to Forget (As it stands, Jon Jones might taking that crown for the second year in a row)
We’re also running a competition thanks to our friends at beastgear.co.uk and A1fightgear.com
YOU have a chance to win some goodies and all you have to do is send in your best question
We’ll be LIVE on Sunday answering those fan question and the winner will be selected by our panel on the show.
2018 though, MAN what a year
Some honorable mentions for finish of the year have to be.
The Dragon
The ‘Karate Kid’ does it again, and now potentially has some fresh options in Bellator in 2019. Despite his age, it’s always exciting watching the ‘Dragon’ knowing he has this in his locker. Gotta be up there for finish of the year.
The BearJew
I’m Scottish, so I’m obviously biased. BUT when your UFC career is on the line, you’ve been getting battered by a big scary undefeated Russian for 3 rounds and there’s ONE second left, why not strangle the bastard and take the victory. That’s exactly what Paul Craig did in London, got a new contract and a performance of the night. JIU JITSU IS GOD! (Check out Dan Hardy’s Face!)
The Zombie Dies
I’m a massive fan of Chan Sung Jung since his first fight with Leonard Garcia. A five round war, which in my opnion could have gone either way had it went to the judges score cards, but a finish like this you’ll find hard to top!
Tune in Sunday live on spreaker.com/user/machat. Send us your thoughts and you can win some prizes thanks to our sponsors… Also don’t forget MYMMANEWS.com will be doing the big and proper 2018 awards! And we’re very grateful to be part of the team!
