Fireball Fury – Myles Jury to face Takanori Gomi at UFC Fight Night Japan
Myles ‘Fury’ Jury didn’t get the fight he was campaigning for, however he did get a fight against a true MMA legend in Takanori ‘the Fireball Kid’ Gomi.
Jury (14-0) was signed and ready to fight against Nate Diaz. Diaz refused to sign as he is still awaiting a big pay day from the UFC, according to Diaz and his camp.
Jury campaigned all over social media via twitter and on mma.tv’s popular forum “The Underground”.
Jury will now face Takanori Gomi (35-9) September 21 in Japan. Gomi has been in the fight game for a very long time and he is still a fierce competitor. Gomi’s last fight was a decision victory over Isaac Vallie-Flagg at UFC 172.
This is possibly the biggest fight in Jury’s career, and a victory would only close the gap to a title shot for the undefeated fighter.
