Five fighters cut from UFC roster

As per the norm, you win some, you lose some, and then the UFC cuts you.

Five fighters have been cut from the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster to include Igor Pokrajac, Mike Rhodes, Rodrigo Damm, Sean Soriano and Tom Niinimaki.

The UFC has yet to publicly address the releases.

Pokrajac (25-12, 1 no-contest) leaves the promotion after going winless over the past five fights. His decision loss to Joey Beltran was later overturned to a no-contest after his opponent tested positive for banned substances.

Damm dropped his last three fights to Evan Dunham, Al Iaquinta and Rashid Magomedov.

Both Rhodes and Soriano went winless in the UFC after each sustained three consecutive losses.  Rhodes lost all three in 2014.  Soriano had two defeats in 2014 and one on January 18 at UFC Boston.

Niinimaki won his first fight in the UFC over Rani Yahya but then suffered three losses in a row and as a result is now cut from the promotion.
