Former GLORY champ Jason Wilnis set to make MMA debut at LFL 2 this Sunday
This Sunday, July 25, former GLORY middleweight champion and Dutch kickboxing star Jason Wilnis will make his MMA debut in the main event of Levels Fight League 2 live from a studio location in Amsterdam on www.LFLMMA.com.
Jason Wilnis won the GLORY crown in 2016 with a stoppage victory over Canada’s Simon Marcus and also registered wins over the likes of current UFC champ Israel Adesanya, Joe Schilling, current GLORY champ Alex Periera, and Belgium legend Filip Verlinden.
Now the 30-year-old is set to change disciplines and he will face Nicolas Dalby teammate Erhan Okuroglu (1-1). “It’s time to hit them with the smaller gloves,” said Wilnis.
The LFL 2 co-main event will feature a heavyweight collision between Ireland’s world amateur champion Ryan Spillane (0-0) and Ciryl Gane training partner Slim Trabelsi (1-0).
Spillane has won IMMAF World & European titles and has emerged as one of the top prospects to watch in the sport today. The SBG fighter is also currently signed with Bellator but will make his much anticipated professional MMA debut this Sunday at LFL 2.
He faces a tough test though in Slim Trabelsi. Hailing from Tunisia, Trabelsi is an African freestyle wrestling champ and qualified for the 2016 Olympics. He currently trains in France out of the MMA Factory with the likes of Ciryl Gane and Alan Baudot.
Fight fans can watch LFL 2 live from anywhere in the world on www.LFLMMA.com this Sunday, July 25.
