Thiago Santos, Krzysztof Jotko, failed drug test

Former UFC fighters Thiago Santos, Krzysztof Jotko, two others fail PFL MMA drug tests

Former UFC title contender Thiago Santos and longtime UFC veteran Krzysztof Jotko, as well as Bruno Cappelozza and Rizvan Kuniev, tested positive for banned substances following the first half of the PFL heavyweight and light heavyweight season in Las Vegas. MMA Fighting reporter Guilherme Cruz broke the news on Tuesday morning.

According to the report, “the substances were not disclosed, nor the length of suspension each will face.”

Thiago “Marreta” Santos (22-12) is scheduled to face Mohammad Fakhreddine on June 8. No word as to if that fight will still take place at this time. The 39-year-old Santos is coming off a decision loss to Rob Wilkinson at PFL 1 in April.

Krzysztof Jotko (24-7) dropped a split decision loss to Will Fleury in his PFL debut on the same card. He is scheduled to fight Ty Flores on June 8, and as with Santos, no official word on what will transpire there.

Bruno Cappelozza (16-6) defeated Matheus Scheffel in the first-round at PFL 2, and Rizvan Kuniev defeated Renan Ferreira on the same card.
