Former UFC fighters to meet for vacant featherweight title at Titan FC 71, also Nate Marquardt to make promotional debut
Titan Fighting Championship officials have released the lineup for Titan FC 71, scheduled for August 6, from the InterContinental Miami, in Miami, Florida.
Headlining the card on UFC Fight Pass, is a featherweight title fight between a pair of former UFC fighters in Jacob Kilburn (8-4) and Ali AlQaisi (9-5). Both men are making their Titan FC debuts and looking to capture the vacant title.
“This fight is really exciting for the Titan FC family because our former champion, Olivier Murad, received an opportunity that he couldn’t pass up, but at the same time, we have fighters who have competed on the biggest stage in the UFC, fighting for a championship belt,” said Titan FC COO Lex McMahon.
Rising star Ryan Kuse (3-0) will meet Amir Naser Kazemi (1-1) in the night’s co-main event, at 135-pounds.
Also, following the Titan FC 70 announcement that he is coming out of retirement, former UFC fighter Nate “The Great” Marquardt (35-19-2) will return to action for the first time since November 2017. Marquardt will take on Dana White’s Contender Series alum, Michael Cora, (5-5) at 185-pounds.
Devon Dixon (3-0) looks to continue his winning ways and keep his undefeated streak intact when he meets Brandon Lopez at welterweight.
Andre Harrison (21-2-1) returns to Titan FC for the first time since Titan FC 41 in 2016. Harrison went on to compete for World Series of Fighting and the Professional Fighters League.
Also on the card, wrestling standout Richie Lewis makes his return to Titan FC following a unanimous decision win in his mixed martial arts debut, over Danny Vega at Titan FC 68.
