Zak Ottow

Zak Ottow talks difficulties of the regional scene, path back to UFC

Interview with Zak Ottow above

Zak Ottow had four wins in eight fights under contract with the UFC. Going 4-4 in a major promotion, while facing the top competition, usually doesn’t align with a release or demotion but it did in this case. Now 1-0 since his departure from the UFC, Ottow is looking to get in as many fights as possible to go on a run on the regional scene.

“It’s been extremely difficult,” Ottow told MyMMANews. “Super thankful for Mike Goodwin to find me an opponent in November and Iowa was a state that was able to keep operating. It’s been real difficult getting fighter’s fights that they want, it doesn’t help when you have 8 UFC fights on your resume,” Ottow continued. “People are kind of like I don’t know about that one.”
