Freedom Fighter Promotions Super Lightweight champ: Ethan “Kid Wolverine” Geffen
Interview with Ethan Geffen above
Following a night of beautiful Muay Thai bouts, Freedom 4 was highlighted with the main event that would also serve as a “fight of the night” from many of the spectators’ eyes.
Ethan “Kid Wolverine” Geffen took on Augustin Andiarena who made the trip from Argentina to compete in Geffen’s backyard of New York for the vacant Freedom Fighter Promotions World Super Lightweight championship.
The pro-Geffen crowd let their emotions hang out on their sleeve as every punch, kick and strike landed from the New York native were met with a deafening uproar of appreciation. Geffen took to the attack early, landing a clean right hand to the body that put Andiarena on the canvas in the opening moments of the bout.
Showing his toughness, the Argentinian, Andiarena got back to his feet and got right back into the fight, landing his own hard strokes as well through the duration of the bout and hurting Geffen several times.
“I’m not going to lie, he hits pretty hard,” Geffen admits. “I’m not going to say I was hurt because I was still in it (the fight) every second,” he continues. “Even when he landed those big shots, I was right there back in his face and ready for more,” Geffen says. Adding with a chuckle, “He came back strong. I’m not going to tell you he didn’t.”
The fans got their money’s worth for this epic professional fight, alone. However, these two warriors merely capped off an overall fantastic evening of Muay Thai leaving no doubt that Freedom Fighter Promotions has not only arrived but is a promotion for the fighters!
Ethan Geffen will be back in action to defend his belt in just a few short weeks as he takes on Brandon “The Purple Scorpion” Maisonet on April 29th at Freedom 5.
