Garrett Armfield talks upcoming fight at UFC Vegas 70
Garrett Armfield is a all set for his second walk to the octagon at UFC Vegas 70 on Feb. 25.
Armfield’s first UFC fight wasn’t the most ideal situation for any fighter as he took the fight on three days notice in a higher weight class.
In fact, Armfield was actually out with his father drinking margaritas when he received the phone the call that he’s be fighting in the UFC.
Everything happened so quickly in his short noticed debut that Armfield didn’t get the full UFC fight week feel, so this time around he’ll taking everything as he’s fully prepared for the fight.
This time around, Armfield got a six training camp, he’ll get to go through the actual full fight week process as opposed to being rushed through it and most importantly he’ll be fighting in his weight class.
Standing across from Armfield on fight night will be Jose Johnson, who will be making his UFC debut in the fight.
Armfield knows Johnson loves to fight and will try to use his length to win the fight, but Armfield is fully prepared for the fight as he has a great team in his corner from Kill Cliff FC and one of his teammates defeated Johnson and Armfield as been working with him throughout his training camp.
Prior to the fight, Armfield spoke with MyMMANews about his upcoming fight with Johnson, how he’ll look to finish the fight and earn a performance bonus and his goals for 2023.
