Gerald Meerschaert vs. Krzysztof Jotko added to April 30 UFC Fight Night
With a combined 79 fights, the April 30th UFC Fight Night will see two extremely experienced fighters enter the cage.
UFC News Alerts posted the matchup between Gerald Meerschaert and Krzysztof Jotko last Friday and stated that the fight is officially booked.
The middleweights are set to meet in Las Vegas, Nevada at the UFC Apex in a fight that is sure to be an entertaining one.
Meerschaert (34-14), who had a rough 2020 with two first-round losses to Ian Heinisch and Khamzat Chimaev has put together a string of three wins since. On his three-fight win streak, he submitted Bartosz Fabinski, Makhmud Muradov, and most recently Dustin Stoltzfus. Come April 30th, Meerschaert will be looking to push his three-fight win streak to four.
It will be no easy task, however, as he will take on a Jotko who has won four of his last five.
Despite losing a unanimous decision to Sean Strickland at UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs. Prochazka, Jotko (23-5) has defeated several high-level competitors in the last three years. Alen Amedovski, Marc-Andre Barriault, Eryk Anders, and most recently Misha Cirkunov all suffered defeats at the hands of Jotko. This time around Jotko will be looking to break Meerschaert’s win-streak while simultaneously increasing his own from one to two.
The April 30th UFC Fight Night card has been slowly turning into a fantastic night of fights.
With the addition of Meerschaert vs. Jotko, the card now has 11 bouts. Featuring notable fights such as Justin Tafa vs. Jake Collier, Darren Elkins vs. Tristan Connelly, Antonina Shevchenko vs. Cortney Casey, and Jessica Penne vs. Luna Pinheiro.
There is no main event quite yet, but nonetheless, this card is going to be a good one.
