Cavalcante’s opponent will be Germany’s Alan Omer, another long-time veteran with an impressive background. A former UFC fighter, Omer made his promotion debut for Brave in April, beating Robbie Peralta via submission in the third round. Now, Omer returns to face the toughest challenge of his career.

Gesias Cavalcante started his professional career in 2002 and quickly emerged as one of the top contenders in the Lightweight division worldwide. JZ won the and Hero’s and Shooto titles, in USA and Japan respectively, and most recently competed under the banners of Strikeforce, Dream, WSOF, and Titan FC, where he won the Lightweight championship.

Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions marks the promotion’s return to Bahrain after a year. During 2017, Brave Combat Federation expanded its operations, putting on groundbreaking shows in countries such as Brazil (twice), Mexico, Kazakhstan, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Brave 9 will be the culmination of the International Combat Week alongside the IMMAF World Championships, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
