Gilbert Burns Interview: Tyron Woodley fight was going to happen, Demain Maia’s ground game slow and technical

Interview with Gilbert Burns above:

Gilbert Burns is coming off of a career defining win against Demian Maia at UFC Brasilia. The Brazilian native went through quite a complicated fight week as many sports leagues for being shut down.

Coming into the event question was whether the UFC would be able to continue or not. The event was able to continue but unfortunately there was no crowd in attendance. Something that Burns mentioned made for an awkward experience.

The Brazilian jujitsu black belt breaks down his win as well as his opponents level on the ground. Burns mentions that he wasn’t afraid to go to the ground with his opponent. Unlike some of Maia’s former opponents.

In the interview Burns also explains why he wears green Nigeria shorts in his fight, what the chances were that he’d fight Tyron Woodley, what’s next, and more.
