Gillian Robertson talks upcoming fight, Din Thomas and famous red hair
Gillian Robertson was just 3-2 when she signed with the UFC and she believes she’s been learning on the job.
There has been plenty of good in her career as she holds victories over Molly McCann, Cortney Casey and Priscila Cachoeira.
Robertson will admit there has been some hard times has well and right now she has lost three of her last four outings inside of the octagon.
While Robertson’s record might not be the prettiest on paper as she is 10-7, she has also fought a number of top-level competition and she has finished six of her opponents which gives her the UFC record for finishes in the flyweight division. She also holds the second most wins in the flyweight division and the only fighter with more wins is UFC flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko.
Now is the moment when Robertson believes she is going to shine as she feels that she has finally grown to the fighter she needs to be in order to make a run in the division.
Robertson will be fighting Mariya Agapova at UFC Vegas 60 on Sept. 17 and after finishing what calls her best camp ever, she can’t wait to be the best version of herself when she makes the walk to the octagon.
Prior to the fight, Robertson spoke with MyMMANews about her matchup with Agapova, training under Din Thomas, being born in Niagara Falls and her famous red hair.
