U.S. Army Veteran opens Gladiators MMA in Colts Neck, New Jersey
It would not be Veterans Day weekend without talking about the accomplishments of the many brave men and women who put on the uniform to serve our nation.
Today, we would like to share the story of Frank Barclay, who along with his wife, Margie, just celebrated the grand opening of their gym, Gladiators MMA, in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
“This is my first location but I have been involved in Martial Arts all of my life,” Barclay said. “My background is in the United States Army and I retired from the Department of Homeland Security. We love Colts Neck, everyone has been so warm and welcoming. We offer classes from early in the morning until late at night. You can do private lessons or class training. Our kids programs are really building up quickly and our teen programs as well. We are starting after school programs for the teens. It’s going really great and we are so happy we chose to build our business in Monmouth County. We offer discounts for all military and law enforcement families.”
Mayor JP Bartolomeo helped welcome the family’s business to the township during a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier this week.
They offer training to men, woman, and children at all different levels. Among the many programs they offer kids martial arts, Adult and Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Co-ed and Women’s Kickboxing. Gladiators MMA has outstanding instructors such as Fabiow Medeiros, a 1st degree black belt under Renzo Gracie and a judo brown belt under Clyde Worthen, and Coach Billy Markle, winner of the New Jersey Diamond Gloves Title.
