Grigoriy Ponomarev suffers horrific leg injury at ACA 161 – WATCH VIDEO
WARNING: In the below video, Grigoriy Ponomarev, a 28-year-old Russian mixed martial artist suffers what could potentially be a career-ending leg injury. Do not watch if you are squeamish.
The injury took place during the Absolute Championship Akhmat ACA 161 co-main event scrap between heavyweights Mukhamad Vakhaev and Grigoriy Ponomarev. Ponomarev’s leg bent in half at the knee during a scramble in one of the worst leg injuries you will ever see in mixed martial arts.
The injury came just 30 seconds into the fight and as a result, Vakhaev was awarded the victory.
Twitter user @Grabaka_Hitman captured the clip on ivdeo and posted to his social media account.
