Henry Corrales full Bellator 250 media day press conference
Henry Corrales says Brandon Girtz drop to featherweight could mean one of two things.
Corrales is not looking to chase Girtz, but is looking forward to standing right in front of him. It all goes down at Bellator 250 inside the Mohegun Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Thursday, Oct. 27.
“It could go two ways, he could either carry it down with him or he could not, so it’s not something I really need to think about,” Corrales said.
“I’m ready for power, no power, lets get it.”
Corrales is coming off two-straight losses to current bantamweight champion Juan Archuleta and former champion Darrion Caldwell. The pair of defeats ended a five-fight win streak for the 34-year-old.
With 10 appearances under the Bellator banner, Corrales meets another long-time Bellator veteran in Girtz. Girtz has 15 Bellator bouts to his name.
The 35-year-old has struggled as of late, not being able to string multiple wins together since 2015. He makes the move down to 145 pounds after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Myles Jury at Bellator 239 this past February.
