Ian Garry has made a name for himself over in Europe and now all the buzz surrounding his name is slowly spreading its way around the United States.
The Dublin, Ireland native captured the Cage Warriors welterweight title over the summer in late June and just like many great fighters over the years, the Cage Warriors champion will now makes his way over to the UFC.
Garry will make his highly anticipated UFC debut in the worlds most famous arena as he fights Jordan Williams on the preliminary card of UFC 268 at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 6.
In preparation of fighting in the sports biggest promotion, the unbeaten fighter made a change to his training camp.
Garry, whose nickname fits him well as “The Future,” packed up his things in Ireland and he made his way to the United States. Now he is a member of Sanford MMA in Florida and he believes he’s only getting each day as he now trains with some of the most talented fighters in the world everyday at practice.
Ahead of his UFC debut, Garry spoke with MyMMANews and discussed his move to America and his excitement for his UFC debut. He also spoke about his experience fighting in the Cage Warriors promotion, attending the trilogy fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder and how much he looks forward to the boarders opening back up in order to have all the Irish fans takeover the arenas when he fights.
