Ian Garry to Face Darian Weeks on April 9th at UFC 273
Promising Irish youngster Ian Garry will return to the octagon on April 9th, where he will take on fellow prospect Darian Weeks at UFC 273. The news was announced by Weeks’ agency team Iridium Sports Agency on their Instagram page.
Garry made his UFC debut in Madison Square Garden at UFC 268. He earned a first-round knockout over Jordan Willimas. This win moved the Irishman to 8-0 in his professional record. There is a lot of hype around Garry following his impressive knockout, and he will look to move to 2-0 in the UFC on April 9th.
He will face stiff competition in Darian Weeks however. Weeks is 5-1 in his professional career, only suffering his first loss in his last outing. He was bested on the scorecards by Bryan Barberena at UFC on ESPN 31 – Font vs Aldo. Prior to joining the UFC however, he was on a five-fight finish streak and looks to be a promising contender.
