Intergender Grappling – Craig Jones to face Gabi Garcia in $1 Million Tournament

Craig Jones, one of the world’s best grapplers, has announced a two-day invitational tournament scheduled for August 16 and 17 with a prize of $1 million.

As part of the tournament, Jones will face 10-time BJJ world champion Gabi Garcia in an intergender grappling match.

The Australian grappler revealed, “Now we’re talking the most decorated female athlete of all time, Gabi Garcia, has put pen to paper to face me on my own event.”

“A 100% gonna happen. We booked it, we signed this contract earlier. So like, I mean, I had to do a lot of things to get it done, you know?”

Former UFC middleweight champion Luck Rockhold and famed grapplers Nicky Ryan, Mason Fowler, and Nicky Rodriguez are also several of the already announced participants.

Jones, a 4-time ADCC champion, joined ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, where he dumped the prize money on Rogan’s desk.

“I’ve never seen a million dollars in one place! I’ve never even seen a million-dollar check,” Rogan said.
