Undefeated Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright will put his title on the line in the co-main event of Cage Warriors 121 in London on Friday March 19th, 2021. Cage Warriors 121 will be part of latest ‘THE TRILOGY’ series. Cage Warriors 120, 121 and 122 will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass from London’s York Hall on Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th March.
Cartwright (9-0), won the strap back in 2019 – with back-to-back first-round knockout victories in one night at Cage Warriors Unplugged 2. The Manchester prodigy has since defended the belt twice with victories over Manuel Bilic at Cage Warriors 112 and Gerardo Fanny at CW115. Cartwright has emerged as one of the best fighters in Europe’s leading and longest serving mixed martial arts promotion.
Sylwester Miller (9-3), comes into this fight riding a two-fight winning streak. The submission artist has only lost just once in his past eight outings.- six of his nine career wins have come via submission. Miller will be making his Cage Warriors debut on March 19th. The Pole started his professional career in 2015 with a losing effort to Arbi Nashkhoev. He bounced back with wins over Robert Ptasiński, Mariusz Joniak, Ibrahim Barkinoev and Igor Wojtas, while losing to Krzystof Gutowski and Patryk Surdyn.
Graham Boylan, Cage Warriors president, also shared his thoughts on this matchup:
“Cage Warriors 121 is shaping up to be one of the most stacked cards of the year,” said Cage Warriors President, Graham Boylan.
“On top of an exciting lightweight title fight, we have now signed a bantamweight championship bout that could steal the show. Jack has been one of the most exciting men in MMA since we signed him, and I can’t wait to see how he performs against Sylwester, who will be far from an easy opponent.”
Cage Warriors 121 line-up currently shapes up like:
Agy Sardari vs. Mehdi Ben Lakhdhar – For Lightweight Title
Jack Cartwright vs. Sylwester Miller – For Bantamweight Title
Matthew Bonner vs. James Webb
