Everyone’s favorite boxer is returning again. Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are confirmed to box on December 18th in Tampa, Florida. The news broke today as Paul announced on his Twitter and that the name “Tommy Fumbles” will be on the table should Fury lose. The bout will be an eight round cruiserweight fight for Showtime Boxing.

The news comes on the heels of Paul’s brother, Logan Paul, being rumored for an exhibition with Mike Tyson which is all but confirmed. Jake Paul looks to take the more serious boxing route and is taking on the toughest fight of his career.
The Build Up of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury
Both Jake Paul and Tommy Fury last fought on Paul’s card against former UFC champion, Tyron Woodley. Paul advanced to 4-0 as a pro boxer and Tommy Fury cruised to a win over Anthony Taylor advancing to 7-0. The two flirted back and forth on social media until the agreement could be made.
Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley famously bet the “I Love Jake Paul” tattoo and Woodley followed through eventually. Paul, who enjoys a good prank bet, has the Tommy Fumbles name in the contract. Should Paul beat Fury, Fury will have to change his name for a year including all social media and promotion going forward. Paul has allegedly put up his entire purse for the bet.
Paul and Fury will be the third fight for Paul in 2021 with the Askren and Woodley fights earlier in the year. This fight will be the first fight Paul takes with a fight with actual boxing experience. This is a major step up for Paul but one that he’s been angling for. While Askren and Woodley were former fighters, Paul is really stepping out with Fury as his next opponent.
