Jared “Flash” Gordon gets his hand raised in dominant performance against Chris Fishgold at UFC on ESPN 13

Round 1

First minute of the fight and both guys are just feeling each other out. Attempted knee from Fishgold doesn’t land. Gordon with a body kick. Gordon ducks a right cross and clenches and shoots for the takedown with Fishgold scrambling. Back to the feet and they exchange knees. Fishgold jumps guard looking for the guillotine and has it pretty snug as Gordon is fighting to get out. Gordon escapes and is in side control looking for the crucifix. Gordon on top now with a minute left in the round in the guard of Fishgold. Gordon landing some good ground and pound including a nice hammer-fist as the bell rings

Round 2

Early takedown for Gordon as he continues to look for the crucifix while landing some ground strikes and now is looking for an armbar. He had to let it go and is now in the full guard of Fishgold. Gordon is dominating the position right now forcing Fishgold to completely fight defensively from his back. Jared continuing to posture up and land some blows to the head. Gordon has been in control and scoring for the majority of the round. Another impressive round from Flash

Round 3

Fishgold comes out and definitely looks desperate. He knows he needs to finish to win this fight. Fishgold shoots but a nice sprawl from Gordon. Back to the feet as Fishgold throws a combination that doesn’t land. Gordon using the jab effectively as Fishgold shoots again unsuccessfully and Jared Gordon is on top landing more punishing strikes to the side of Fishgold’s head. Gordon dominating right now and making it look easy. The strike total is lopsided as Gordon is punishing his opponent.  You can see the redness all over Fishgold’s head and face from the nasty ground and pound. The fight ends with Gordon still on top landing hard punches and elbows.
