Jared Gooden signed to UFC following Titan FC 62 win, faces Dwight Grant
On the heels of his July 23, Titan FC 62 victory over Trent McCown, Jared Gooden has been signed to the UFC and will face Dwight Grant on August 22. Linemovement.com was the first to report the news of the 26-year-old “Nite Train” being signed to fight on the big stage.
Gooden (17-4 MMA) faces Grant (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, part of the promotion’s card headlined by Pedro Munhoz and Frankie Edgar.
Gooden is currently riding a three-fight win streak including the second round TKO win over McCown, and submission wins over Jay Jackson and Empire FC 5 and Marcel Stamps at Island Fights 60.
Grant earned a contract with the UFC after getting a win on Dana White’s Contender Series, only to drop a split decision to Zak Ottow in his first official outing with the promotion. He would then bounce back to earn victories over Carlo Pedersoli and Alan Jouban.
