Jared Gordon is set to fight Chris Fishgold on the mystical UFC Fight Island. The return will mark Gordon first fight of 2020 after he last fought Charles Oliveira back in November 2019.
There are certainly different opinions on Fight Island. Most people expected a tropical island with a cage on the beach surrounded by tiki torches and more tropical decorations.
Gordon expected the same but admits it’s still pretty cool getting to fight abroad in Abu Dhabi. As for the heat? Florida is hot enough to keep Gordon ready.
The fight with Fishgold puts a talented English prospect against a wily veteran looking to bounce back in a new weight class. Gordon hopes to get a strong start going back at his native featherweight.
