Jarod Grant Wins BKFC Interim Bantamweight Belt
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship returned to New York on Saturday to put on an interim bantamweight title bout for a sold-out crowd.
In the main event, Jarod Grant took on late replacement Anthony Retic. Despite the incredible height and reach advantage that Rretic enjoyed, Grant out-slugged Retic to a unanimous decision win to claim the interim bantamweight title.

After the scorecards were announced (49-46, 49-46, 48-46), Grant gave a heartfelt interview where he told fans how hard he has worked to get to where he is today.
Grant, who was supposed to face BKFC bantamweight champion Johnny Bedford this weekend stated that he still eyeing that fight. Saying “I hope he [Bedford] heals up” and telling Bedford to “come get this work.”
As the youngest BKFC champion in the history of the organization, Jarod Grant is now riding a five-fight win-streak and will likely fight for the official BKFC bantamweight belt as soon as Bedford comes off his injury.
With no word as to when the unifying title bout will take place, Grant can take some time to relax and soak in his spectacular achievements. While Bedford can work on healing up and can look forward to a tough challenge ahead.
