Jimmie Rivera discusses ‘years in the making’ showdown with Aljamain Sterling at UFC Phoenix

Jimmie Rivera discusses his upcoming bantamweight showdown with Aljamain Sterling at UFC on ESPN 1. The event takes place on Sunday, Feb. 17 at Talking Points Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and will air on ESPN television. The fight between Rivera and Sterling will headline the ESPN preliminary card which kicks off at 7 p.m. EST.

“El Terror” discusses how this fight came together and how they were “the only two in the division available”, why he feels he won’t move forward in the division very much with a win, calling out Cody Garbrandt and his reaction to the former bantamweight champion fighting Pedro Munhoz, the upcoming bout between Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assuncao, his thoughts on the UFC Brooklyn main event and whether or not it was an early stoppage, the New England Patriots and his new dog.
