Joby Sanchez

Joby Sanchez: Not Looking Past Demetrius Wilson at LFA 58

UFC vet Joby Sanchez will make his Legacy Fighting Alliance debut January 25, inside the friendly confines of the Route 66 Casino’s, Legends Theater. With the Flyweight division a memory of the past as far as the UFC is concerned, Sanchez is now looking towards new opportunities but knows that first and foremost he has to concentrate on work at the Los Lunas Fire Department and at LFA 58.

Sanchez comes into this contest looking to rebound from a split decision loss to Mark De La Rosa from the UFC 25th anniversary event.

“I out landed him. I stuffed everyone of his take downs and I really felt like I won rounds one & three. He did a good job winning round two, but I left it to the judges. It is what it is. I have to move forward”.

As for Joby’s future plans he’s taking things one step at a time.

“Right now I just looking at LFA 58, at Demetrius Wilson that’s it. I’m not looking to Casey Kenny or the LFA champion. I’m just thinking about Demetrius Wilson, here in Albuquerque at LFA 58”.

When speaking of Demetruis Wilson.

Sanchez says “He’s a true Grinder. He is talented in that area. He keeps real good pressure on the cage. In his world he maintains a good pace. I am here to take him out of that element and get him freaking exhausted”.
