Joey Spencer and Erik Spring Set for January 18th On PBC
PBC Fight Night Premims adds a great prelim bout with a top super welterweight contender. Joey Spencer (9-0, 7 KOs) will take on Erik Spring (13-3, 1 KO) on a card headlined by Julian Williams and Jeison Rosario. The card takes place at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is put on by TGB Promotions and King’s Promotions. It will air on FS1.
Joey Spencer, The Super Welterweight Prospect
Joey Spencer is one of the sports brightest prospects at super welterweight. At 9-0 Spencer is taking a step up in competition against Spring. Spring is by far the most experienced fighter Spencer will have faced yet. It marks a coming of age for Spencer, getting him ready for a bigger fight and a title shot down the road.
Erik Spring is coming off a loss in his last match. He lost to Courtney Pennington in Bethlehem last September. He looks to rebound and get another win streak started to get his career course corrected.
Building Williams versus Rosario
PBC is putting together a great card with some of the best new talent in boxing. Julian Williams puts his WBA, IBF, and IBO Super Welterweight titles on the line as he takes on Jeison Rosario in the main event of the night.
The co-main event on the card pits the interim WBA World Super Featherweight title up for grabs as Chris Colbert and Jezzrel Corrales battle for the title. The winner will likely get a chance to unify against current WBA champ, Leo Santa Cruz.
Aside from the two title bouts, the card has matches between Thomas LaManna and Jorge Cota, Ricky Lopez and Jose Luis Gallegos and Kyrone Davis and Antonio Todd.
