LFA 82

LFA 82 Headlined by Alex Polizzi and Jamal Pogues

LFA 82 has found it’s headliner as Alex “Easy” Polizzi and Jamal “Storm Trooper” Pogues are set to fight in a light-heavyweight title fight. The card takes place on February 21st at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota and will air on UFC Fight Pass.

Polizzi debuts in LFA at 5-0 with all of the fights coming by the way of finishes. His last fight was at Final Fight Championship 40 in September where he won by first round knockout. Polizzi looks to make a statement against Pogues who is a Contender Series vet.

Pogues comes into LFA 82 at 7-2 with a unanimous decision win on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series last year. It was not enough to get him a contract to the big show yet. Pogues is on a three fight win streak and looks to get himself back in front of UFC president, Dana White’s eyes.

LFA CEO, Ed Soares, stated that a new light heavyweight champion will be crowned at LFA 82 in Minnesota.

“I am excited to announce that we are bringing the LFA light-heavyweight championship to Minnesota at LFA 82,” stated Soares. “Alex Polizzi and Jamal Pogues are two of the top 205-pound prospects in the world and they are both coming off dominant wins last summer. Polizzi won his LFA debut via TKO and Pogues impressed UFC President Dana White on Dana White’s Contender Series. This will be the first LFA title fight of 2020 and it will continue our tradition of producing great light-heavyweight champions.”
