Johnny Eblen talks Bellator 276 win & potential fight with Gegard Mousasi
Johnny Eblen is now the No.1 contender in the official Bellator middleweight rankings.
The new spot in the rankings comes after a great performance over the weekend at Bellator 276, where Eblen looks fantastic in his matchup against former title challenger John Salter.
Throughout his fight with Salter, Eblen looked poised as won every single round on all three judges scorecard to earn a unanimous decision win.
Now that Eblen is ranked No. 1 in the division and has a perfect 11-0 record, it appears that Eblen has earned a shot against dominate middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi.
Eblen won’t make a pitch to the promotion that he should be next. Instead, he plans on letting the fans and media members do the talking for him as he wants everyone to tell the promotion that he’s next in line for the title.
Following his win over Salter, Eblen spoke with MyMMANews about his win, fighting in his home state of Missouri, sharing the card with some American Top Team teammates and of course the potential middleweight title shot that appears to be heading his way.
