Johnny Muñoz

Johnny Muñoz discusses his upcoming fight at UFC Vegas 64

Johnny Muñoz has been on the road a lot ahead of UFC Vegas 64 fight against Liudvik Sholinian.

For this training camp, Muñoz has been training in three locations in two countries and two and states.

Muñoz has been training in his home gym in California and he’s also a hours away from the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas and he’s also a short distance away from a gym in Tijuana, Mexico. Given the close proximity between the three gyms, Muñoz figured it’d be in his best interest to take advantage of everything the gyms have to offer.

While there is plenty of miles being added onto his car for this training camp, Muñoz enjoys the traveling and he feels it will give him the edge in his upcoming fight.

For starters, he feels that constantly going from gym-to-gym gives him great looks from some many different fighters. He also believes that it gives him mental advantage as well.

While all of that is great for Muñoz, he is also is getting some work in with one of the best fighters on the UFC roster as he is friends and teammates with former UFC flyweight champion and current UFC interim flyweight champion Brandon Moreno.

Prior to the UFC 64, Muñoz spoke with MyMMANews to discuss his training camp, his matchup with Sholinian and his friendship with Moreno.

He also told MyMMANews that this is his last fight on his UFC contract and the plan is to fight his contract out and resign with promotion.
